The Supercourse
This is a course for those riders who hold a full licence and want to raise the level of their riding ability to a more professional, even advanced standard.
Unlike many other post test courses the Supercourse covers all aspects of riding including riding in groups, carrying pillions, night riding and riding in heavy traffic.
The course is spread over four weeks, normally Wednesday evenings and Sunday mornings.
During the theory sessions students will cover basic first aid and routine bike maintenance, both delivered by highly qualified instructors.
The highlight of the course is the final full day run in a group (pillions optional) to a place of interest such as the National Motorcycle Museum.
If you have recently passed your test, hold a full licence and are returning to motorcycling after a long absence or you are one of those people who are regular riders but would like to extend your skills then this is the course for you....
REMEMBER PASSING YOUR TEST IS ONLY THE START. NOW HERE IS YOUR CHANCE TO DEVELOP YOUR ABILITIES AND REALLY GET THE MOST FROM YOUR BIKE.
Our course covers positioning, overtaking and bend lines, but more emphasis will be placed on advanced observation, forward planning and defensive riding skills than simply riding at speed.
There will be four classroom sessions and five on-road practical riding periods organised as follows:
- Two sessions on the theory of advanced motorcycling including videos, slide shows and discussions with S.E.G. trained police riders.
- One session on practical First Aid at the scene of a roadside crash, presented by a qualified instructor.
- One session of preventative maintenance.
- Four 2 hour sessions of advanced riding including motorways, night riding, riding in traffic and pillion carrying.
- AND FINALLY: A full day out riding in a group. This will give you the chance to put into practice all that you have learned.
